Tiki Night at Bloedel Conservatory is the VBGA kick-off event for all of the Bloedel 50th Anniversary Celebrations.

This promises to be an evening of fun at Bloedel featuring music by Robin Layne and the Rhythm Makers, hors d’oeuvres by Granville Island Catering and a variety of signature rum cocktails.

Bloedel’s 50th Anniversary is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the Conservatory as a unique and cherished green oasis in the city of Vancouver, its history and its future. It provides us with a venue to raise awareness about the tropics, the importance of sustainability, biodiversity, and conservation, and to continue to familiarize people of all ages with the world of plants.

About Bloedel Conservatory

Bloedel Conservatory is a domed lush paradise located in Queen Elizabeth Park atop the City of Vancouver’s highest point. More than 120 free-flying exotic birds, 500 exotic plants and flowers thrive within its temperature-controlled environment.

Constructed through a very generous donation from Prentice Bloedel, Bloedel was dedicated at its opening in 1969 “to a better appreciation and understanding of the world of plants.”

Designated as a heritage building, it is jointly operated by Vancouver Park Board and the Vancouver Botanical Garden Association. Together, these partners also operate VanDusen Botanical Garden.
