New Fable Diner Happy Hour
and new Head Chef Josef Driemel
Fable Diner is making farm-to-table fare accessible for casual dining all day long and is excited to announce the appointment of new Head Chef Josef Driemel.
Since opening their doors in 2016, Fable Diner has been elevating casual-style eats with their signature farm-to-table approach. Located in the historic Lee Building at the corner of Main Street and the bustling Broadway corridor, it’s a modern day diner serving up classic dishes expertly prepared using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients.
Fable Diner is open all day long, from early breakfast hours until those late-night comfort food cravings kick in. In fact, it is one of the only (and best) places in the city offering all-day breakfast. And, for the first time ever, Fable Diner is taking reservations for daily dinner service so guests can be guaranteed a table at their favorite neighbourhood spot.
Fable Diner Happy hour and late night specials are also on offer every day of the week. Fable Diner Happy Hour runs from 3 pm until 6 pm and returns again for the late night crowd from 9 pm until 10 pm when the restaurant closes. Food features include house-made chips and dip for $5.00, a rotating feature appetizer for $10, and a burger and milkshake combo featuring the classic Reno’s burger for $15.
To wash it down, guests can choose from rotating tap draft beers for $4.50, cans of Red Racer Beer League Lager (500ml) for $4.00, and house red and white wine for $5.50 a glass. On the weekend, Saturdays and Sundays, classic caesars are $4.50 for a single and $8.00 for doubles.
Essential to every good diner is a well-made milkshake and Fable Diner is happy to oblige. Classic flavours such as strawberry and peanut butter chocolate are available year-round. Feature flavours change for the occasion and this month are Red Velvet and Lovers Boozy milkshake.
Heading up the kitchen at Fable Diner is new Head Chef Josef Driemel who, after many years of working across the country and abroad, is excited to return to his home province and share his expertise with the team.
Chef Dreimel’s passion for cooking extends beyond his professional life and when not in the kitchen at Fable Diner you can find him reading cookbooks and exploring new restaurants likes authentic eateries that know how to whip up a classic cocktail.
