About First Pick Handmade Home Decor:

Janna Hurtzig, of the local Winterluxe Recycled Cashmere label, saw an opportunity for a local home décor show when she realized how many talented artisans were creating lifestyle items. Since 1998, Hurtzig has been part of Vancouver’s handmade scene in numerous roles such as vendor and show coordinator, so she knows what makes for a good experience is for both the designer and the consumer.

Hurtzig has been planning the First Pick Handmade shows (First Pick Handmade and First Pick Handmade Home Décor) for the last two years and is a co-organizer for Shiny Fuzzy Muddy, one of Vancouver’s most popular and successful holiday markets currently celebrating their 16th year. For the past 11 years, Hurtzig has sold her handmade designs at popular shows across Canada.
