G Day – Simply Smashing Ungala
on June 1, 2019

What would you like to smash? Glass ceilings, self-doubt, gender stereotypes, or perhaps just some dishes?

Whatever tickles your smash-fantasy, we hope that you’ll bring it to SIMPLY SMASHING, AN UNGALA IN SUPPORT OF G DAY, on SATURDAY JUNE 1st at The Pace in Vancouver! G Day is an event series launched in Vancouver in 2014 that celebrates the transition between childhood and adolescence in female-identified tween youth.

United Girls of the World Society, a registered charity, presents Simply Smashing, an UnGala in support of G Day on June 1st at The Pace. Inspired by Boulder’s Women Breaking Plates, 250 attendees will smash plates and raise funds to launch an online leadership program in 2020 that will enable UGW to scale beyond the 5 Canadian cities where G Day has taken place 11 times and welcomed over 2,200 people. Guests can enjoy food and tunes by DJ Slade, and safety goggles will be provided. Plates will be available by donation.

Want to be part of creating the future for G Day? Our goal is to launch an online leadership program in 2020 that will enable us to scale beyond the 5 Canadian cities where G Day has taken place 10 times and welcomed over 2,000 people. Let’s do this! Raise money for a fantastic cause AND smash stuff: what could be better.

G Day is a meaningful lived experience that welcomes and recognizes girls as they take their first steps on the journey toward adulthood. For more info, visit http://gday.world.
