Chinatown’s Juniper has launched three new summer menus: Happy Hour (4pm to 6pm), three-course Prix Fixe (5pm to 6pm) and Late Night (10pm to close).
Created by Executive Chef Sarah Stewart, all three menus are designed for sharing and pairing with Bar Manager Shaun Layton’s creations
The Happy Hour menu, available in the bar and adjoining lounge, offers tasters of house-made Spiced Nuts and Seeds, Jerky, Root Chips, and Pickles ($3-$5) in addition to three Daily Open Faced Toasts (meat, veggie and fish options) served on Nelson the Seagull Sourdough ($5) and Juniper’s popular Wood Boards featuring house made charcuterie, Ocean Wise seafood and BC artisanal cheese! The selection complements the daily local tap beer and cider ($5), and tap wine and cocktail ($7) specials.
Entre deux, the evening Prix Fixe menu ($40) will feature three courses that showcase the best of seasonal produce, local grains and ethically sourced meats. Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options are available and will be served exclusively in the dining room from 5pm until 6pm.
Finally, the Late Night menu, served in the bar and adjoining lounge, builds on the Happy Hour menu with the addition of confit, smoked Duck Wings ($16), hand-stuffed Lamb Perogies ($15) and a rotating selection of fresh sausages made by Juniper’s in-house butcher, Johnny Turions.
