In my youth I tried a variety of skin care products ranging from Clearasil and many others that produced little or no results or may have required such a long period to produce any benefits that by the end of three weeks, I lost interest.

As a result, over time my daily routine developed did not include astringents which I found to cause severe stinging sensation as they very often contain too much alcohol or cheap soaps which contain residual alkalis such as sodium which I found dried my already dry sensitive skin as I have eczema flare-ups. In fact, my lack of daily use of products with excess chemicals have probably, as I believe, attributed to my youthful face which causes people to underestimate my age by 15+ years.

But even at my age 40++++++ – I’ll leave it up to you to determine how many pluses, I get pimples and eruptions due to my dairy allergies which also causes eczema flare ups of dry patchy skin. Needless to say, I’ve tried up to 30 eczema targeted creams but to no avail.

So when I got a sample of NeoStrata Acne Clear at the London Drugs Cosmetics Beauty event I was skeptical to say the least. But, I’m always willing to try any skin product because you just might hit the skin product jackpot and finally find one that gives you the results you want. So to ensure that didn’t forget to use it consistently on a daily basis, I placed it by my bathtub so that I could incorporate NeoStrata into my daily bath routine.

First Step:  Gel Cleanser:  This gel was a little “slimy” and took a little while to clean off my skin but no stinging occurs. Available at London Drugs for $27.00.

Second Step: Acne Clear Clarifying Solution:  I applied a few drops of this solution to my face and also to my chest as both areas had areas with eczema – patchy flaky skin, which itchiness caused me to scratch them until they bled, causing scabs.  There was a little stinging due to my irritated skin, but it only lasted a few seconds.  Available at London Drugs for $29.99.

Third Step:  Glycolic Renewal Smoothing Lotion:  I applied this just before going to bed on my face and affected areas.  Available at London Drugs for $39.99

Result:  Just after one day of use, my irritated areas, looked less irritant and the scaling ceased.  After three days, the irritated area was a lot smoother and scabs were fading.  My face overall looks quite smooth and feels very soft.

NeoStrata has 5% glycolic acid which is known to penetrate the skin well to improve the skin’s appearance and texture and reduces wrinkles, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and improves other skin conditions. It’s one of the few skin products to be FDA approved and after using it for just a few days on my sensitive skin and seeing a dramatic improvement after only a few days, it’s obvious to see why it’s been endorsed.
