Vancouver Foodster presents the Sangria Challenge
Welcome to the Vancouver Foodster Sangria Challenge. Restaurants from all over the city were invited to enter their Sangria creations into this challenge. Each restaurant will be featuring their sangria creations on their menu from July 8-30, 2015.
A few of the unique creations in this challenge:
Description: A white wine sangria with a purple tint that’s crisp, floral, and refreshing.
Ingredients: Pinot Gris, Sake, Creme de Violette, Pisco and a house mint and cucumber soda. Garnished with dragon fruit, lemon, cucumber and mint.

Description: An explosion of summer citrus refreshment with a fruity New Zealand sauvignon blanc, Asian influenced liqueur and a touch of ginger to give it some bite!
Ingredients: The Ned Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand), OR-G Liqueur (Persimmon mingling with Papaya, Mango and Lime); Absolut Raspberry Vodka; Lychee Juice; Lime Juice; Club Soda; Strawberries, Pineapple, Grapes, Lime, Lemon, Blueberry, Orange; Mint Leaves; and Ginger Root.

For our Challenges, we have 2 sets of winners. The People’s Choice winners will be selected by the public who are invited to visit any of the participating restaurants and order the Sangria creations and then decide on which ones they think are worthy of winning the challenge by casting their votes.

Voting: The public is invited to order these Sangria creations at the participating restaurants keeping in mind this criteria – originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste. People can vote the same day after trying the Sangria creation and they can vote once a day throughout the promotion. People will be encouraged to Vote for their favourites from July 8-30, 2015.
With a smartphone, customers will be able to vote from their table in the restaurant right after they have eaten the Sangria creation.
We will announce the winning restaurants and their Sangria creations on July 31, 2015.
