Four iconic Vancouver restaurants will have diners feeling merry and bright this holiday season with a series of special multi-course dinners and celebratory events taking place on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. The Teahouse in Stanley Park, Seasons in the Park, Cardero’s and The Sandbar are all decking the halls and inviting friends and family to come together and indulge in a variety of unique chef-prepared menus perfect for festive gatherings.
Surrounded by towering trees and overlooking the sparkling waters of English Bay, The Teahouse in Stanley Parkhas been delighting Vancouver locals and tourists for more than 40 years. The iconic restaurant will be celebrating this year’s holiday season by hosting a pair of special Yuletide dinners. On Tuesday, December 24, Executive Chef Adam Meade and his culinary team invite guests to tuck into a three-course Christmas Eve Menu ($55 per person), with live carol singers performing in the dining room throughout the meal to enhance the festive experience. The Teahouse Christmas Eve menu offers a choice of slow-roasted prime rib, roasted turkey, BC salmon or vegetarian Bolognese, accompanied by fresh seasonal appetizers and decadent desserts. On Wednesday, December 25, the kitchen will wow guests with a five-course Christmas Day Menu ($85) of West-Coast-inspired holiday classics such as slow-roasted prime rib, roasted turkey, sablefish and vegetarian Bolognese. Seasons in the Park
Perched atop the gorgeous gardens of Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Park Seasons in the Park, is a picturesque spot to celebrate the holidays with loved ones. On Tuesday, December 24, guests can visit the scenic dining room and enjoy a three-course Christmas Eve Menu with a choice of appetizer, main course and dessert for $55 per person. For an added level of decadence, the Christmas Day Menu features two additional courses and is offered for $85 per person. Both set menus include a choice of entrees with highlights such as oven-roasted turkey or prime rib served with traditional holiday fixings, West Coast grilled seafood dishes with wild rice, or vegetarian mushroom ravioli with cream and arugula. And on December 31, Seasons will ring in 2020 with a one-night-only New Year’s Eve feature sheet and party favours for all guests.
Cardero’s is a perennial crowd-pleaser nestled along Vancouver’s Seawall in Coal Harbour, making it a go-to locale to spend the holiday season. The restaurant will be open until 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve with a full a-la-carte menu on offer and reservations available online at vancouverdine.com/carderos. Come New Year’s Eve, Cardero’s will crank up the party vibes with a feature sheet of dinner specials, a live DJ, dancing, party favours for all diners, and a photo-worthy balloon drop at midnight to welcome 2020 in celebratory fashion. A Granville Island institution with unparalleled views of False Creek, The Sandbar will be open until 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve with a delicious array of seafood-focused a-la-carte menu items on offer and reservations available online at vancouverdine.com/sandbar. Executive Chef Wesley Dennis will mark the turning of the calendar with a special New Year’s Eve feature sheet showcasing a variety of delectable seafood selections. As the night goes on, diners will be invited to ring in 2020 on the dance floor with a live DJ spinning tunes until the clock strikes midnight.
