Annual Richmond World Festival

Peak behind the bamboo curtain, fuel your imagination and meet the next Spielberg at the 2nd annual Richmond World Festival on Saturday, September 3 in Minoru Park.
A day-long celebration of music, food and culture, Richmond World Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday September 3. Admission is free. The festival features over 60 music and dance performances on nine stages, an international food truck festival with more than 40 food trucks, celebrity chefs on the Culinary Stage, the Global Village with interactive cultural activities and performances, Your Kontinent Digital Carnival, Kids World, Artisan Marketplace, Wide World of Sports and more.
The festival is extending its footprint into and around the Richmond Cultural Centre this year. The Bamboo Theatre stage, organized by the Vancouver Cantonese Opera Society, on the Richmond Cultural Centre plaza, will feature music and dance from around the world. Inside the Cultural Centre, Richmond Public Library will host Imagination World, with fun and interactive cross-cultural activities and performances for all ages, including award-winning children’s musician Will Stroet. The Cultural Centre also hosts Cinevolution’s Richmond Youth Media Festival, with screenings by emerging filmmakers, professional media installations, hands-on workshops and keynote speakers. Richmond Museum and Richmond Art Gallery will also host festival activities.
The entertainment heats up as the sun goes down. Reigning Juno Group of the Year Award winners and international YouTube sensations Walk Off The Earth will headline the Richmond World Festival. Delhi 2 Dublin will also bring their popular cross-culture fusion of Celtic, Bhangra and other world beats to the main stage.
