Prideful indulgences served at H2 Rotisserie & Bar and H Tasting Lounge
with a tiki-themed Sunday Luau Brunch buffet and liberating libation

Starting on August 4, H2 is launching a colourful Sunday Luau Brunch menu as a nod to Vancouver’s vibrant Pride Festival, and as an homage to the property’s original Polynesian eatery Trader Vic’s.

The Sunday Luau Brunch series introduces dynamic flavours of Hawaii and the Philippines into the spread by featuring the likes of Pineapple BBQ Ribs; Huli Huli Chicken with banana-leaf-garlic shrimp; ‘Loco Moco’ fried mahi mahi with sweet rice and wasabi mayo; and vegan-friendly Beyond Meat ‘Waikiki’ meatballs with soy-ginger glaze. Refreshing lighter fare includes prawn ceviche, a selection of creative salads, and a build-your-own Açai Bowl bar. These mouth-watering elevations rotate weekly and complement H2’s brunch buffet staples for those who prefer to stick with traditional Western options.

Make your meal complete with a line-up of tiki-inspired cocktails, including the Punch Drunk cocktail (featuring three types of rum, peach schnapps, pomegranate syrup, and pineapple and orange juices), and end the journey with indulgent desserts such as guava cake and banana spring rolls.

The Sunday Luau Brunch runs every Sunday beginning August 4, from noon to 3pm. Live music performances, tiki-themed décor, and complimentary valet parking make the experience complete. $39 for adults; $12.50 for children ages 6-12; free for children 5 and under. visit or call 604.691.6966..

The hotel’s elegant seaside oasis, H Tasting Lounge (HTL), favoured for its hand-crafted cocktails and local tasting plates, honours Pride by introducing a new addition to its line-up of signature concoctions. The Freedom Fizz ($15), crafted by Premium Bartender Chiara Fung, features rum, spiced vanilla syrup, lemon juice, soda, and vegan foamer, creating a balanced, citrus-forward sip. This creation tributes the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in New York, where this year’s WorldPride festival was held. The Stonewall riots, while devastating, were instrumental in spurring the gay liberation movement for LGBT rights in the United States. Available from August 3 – 31, The Freedom Fizz celebrates liberation, expression, and freedom. Proceeds from drink sales will be donated to the Dr. Peter Aids Foundation.
