February 6 marks ten years since Jules Bistro first opened its doors and to celebrate Chef/Owner Emmanuel Joinville is offering a special price for the Table D’Hote menu from February 7-12.
Born, raised and trained in Dijon, France, Chef Joinville has dedicated his life to French food. He learned his first lessons in his mother’s kitchen and from there went on to open bistros in Dijon and Paris before bringing his culinary talents to Vancouver. Jules Bistro opened in 2007 in the heart of historic Gastown and has been charming guests with its authentic French fare and affable atmosphere every since.
Over its ten year history, Jules Bistro has hit a number of culinary milestones. The bistro has sliced 78,000 baguettes, diced 26,000 pounds of onions, served 64,250 pounds of ribeye and used 2,100 pounds of chocolate!

To celebrate a decade of cuisine, Jules Bistro will be serving Table D’Hote menu for lunch and dinner from February 7-12. The three-course anniversary menu will begin in classic French style with the choice of a salad or soup du jour. Thereafter guests can choose from three entree dishes; 8 oz ribeye steak in the sauce of your choice, pan seared salmon provencal or mussels. All entrees are served with frites. To finish, Chef Joinville has prepared a decadent chocolate terrine.
Prices for the Table D’Hote menu are currently $31 for lunch and $33 for dinner. However special occasions call for special measures and guests will be able to enjoy the three-course menu for $21 for lunch and $23 for dinner; these were the original prices set a decade ago when Jules Bistro first opened.
Jules Bistro could not have reached the ten year mark without the ongoing support and generous patronage of the community. This anniversary special is not only a celebration of the restaurant, but also a tribute to everyone who has been a part of its history. Cheers to another ten years!
